Descrierea proiectului

Pornind de la dinamica mare observata in ultimii ani pentru industria vantului din mediul marin (offshore wind) un prim obiectiv al proiectului este sa evalueze parametrii de vant asteptati pana la sfarsitul secolului 21 considerand trei scenarii RCP diferite (RCP2.6, RCP4.5 si RCP8.5). Diverse zone din Europa sunt considerate, incluzand de asemenea si Marea Neagra. Rezultatele furnizate de la modelele atmosferice, disponibile de la Institutul Suedez de Meteorologie si Hidrologie, vor fi procesate si analizate si pe aceasta baza performantele asteptate de la cele mai recente tehnologii vor fi evaluate. Din aceasta perspectiva rezultatele proiectului vor permite elaborarea unor recomandari privind imbunatatirea tehnologiilor existente si o mai buna adaptare a lor la conditiile de vant din zonele tinta. Un alt aspect il constituie sinergia dintre vant si energia valurilor si solara. Avantajele colocarii in raport cu implementarea de tehnologii hibride vor fi de asemenea evaluate. Un alt obiectiv important este reprezentat de o intelegere mai buna a efectelor locale si globale ale fermelor energetice marine. In acest sens o platforma de calcul originala va fi implementata. Nu in ultimul rand, studii privind efectele pe termen mediu si lung ale fermelor energetice marine vor fi evaluate.

Obiectivele proiectului

Obiectivul general al proiectului propus este cresterea eficientei extragerii energiei marine regenerabile in zona costiera europeana cu ajutorul tehnologiilor hibride adaptate la schimbarile matricei mediului, determinate de schimbarile climatice. Acest obiectiv este aliniat cu planul strategic energetic al Uniunii Europene pentru reducerea emisiilor de gaze de sera (SET). Deci, dezvoltarea unor sisteme energetice avansate pentru extragerea energiei din oceane, bazate pe tehnologii adecvate resurselor precum si intelegera mai buna a interactiunii dintre acestea si resursele respective in contextul dinamicii matricei de mediu, datorate schimbarilor climatice, reprezinta aspecte de un real interes. Proiectarea de noi sisteme si tehnologii de ultima generatie sunt necesare pentru a creste fiabilitatea si a dezvolta acest sector. Din aceasta perspectiva, trebuie incurajat orice studiu axat pe acest subiect. Pornind de la acest obiectiv general, sunt necesare cercetari care sa conduca la rezultate concrete, unele dintre acestea constituind scopul acestui proiect. Obiectivele specifice pot fi definite astfel:

    1. Evaluarea schimbarilor viitoare ale puterii vantului in zona costiera europeana, pornind de la trei scenarii: RCP2.6, RCP4.5 si RCP8.5 pana in anul 2100.
    2. Previzionarea evolutiei parametrilor de vant pentru zonele considerate, pentru doua orizonturi de timp VA (viitor apropiat - intervalul 2021-2060) si VI (viitor indepartat - intervalul 2060-2100). Zonele de interes pentru prezentul proiect sunt constituite de trei arii geografice europene, prezentate in Figura 1. Prima arie tinta (TA1) este constituita de Marea Baltica si Marea Nordului. Aceste doua mari sunt reprezentative pentru energia eoliana offshore, peste 60 de ferme functionanad in aceasta zona. Prima ferma eoliana offshore (Vindeby) a fost instalata in 1991 in Marea Baltica de Danemarca. A doua arie este notata (TA2) include Irlanda si partile de vest ale coastelor franceze si iberice. Datorita valurilor inalte, aceasta zona are cel mai ridicat potential din Europa relativ la resursele energetice marine. A treia zona luata in calcul (TA3) este Marea Neagra, mai ales zona vestica.
    3. Evaluarea istoricului evolutiei parametrilor corespunzatori energiei solare si de val in cele trei zone de interes. Aceasta va include atat modele retroactive cat si masuratori in situ si la distanta.
    4. Evaluarea tehnologiilor eoliene existente in cele trei zone de interes, luand in considerare conditiile previzionate pe baza scenariilor RCP2.6, RCP4.5 si RCP8.5. Accentul va fi pus pe proiectarea turbinelor eoliene si a platformelor plutitoare.
    5. Analiza hidro-structurala combinata a tehnologiilor eoliene si formularea unor recomandari pentru turbinele eoliene si platformele plutitoare cu scopul adaptarii superioare la modificarile viitoare ale mediului din zonele de interes.
    6. Evaluarea tehnologiilor de conversie a energiei valurilor si solara (offshore) si a posibilitatii de integrare a parcurilor solare si/sau de val in zone in care sunt deja operationale ferme eoliene. Analiza posibilitatii de implementare a tehnologiilor hibride in zonele costiere de interes.
    7. Dezvoltarea unui sistem de modelare integrat (SCEIM - Sistem de Calcul pentru Evaluarea Impactului fermelor energetice Marine) permitand modelarea de la micro catre macroscala cu scopul evidentierii interactiunilor din si dintre sistemele de extragere a energiei precum si efectele produse de fermele energetice marine.
    8. Proiectarea unor configuratii de ferme energetice si studierea interactiunilor din si dintre sistemele de extragere a energiei utilizand mediul de calcul SCEIM.
    9. Utilizarea SCEIM pentru studiul efectelor produse de fermele marine, in functie de configuratia acestora.
    10. Evaluarea fezabilitatii implementarii fermelor energetice marine in Marea Neagra.

Rezultate estimate

Rezultatele obtinute de la modelele atmosferice, disponibile de la Institutul Suedez de Meteorologie si Hidrologie, vor fi procesate si analizate, si pe aceasta baza performantele asteptate de la cele mai recente tehnologii de vant vor fi evaluate. Din aceasta perspectiva rezultatele proiectului vor permite elaborarea unor recomandari privind imbunatatirea tehnologiilor existente si o mai buna adaptare a lor la conditiile de vant asteptate in zonele tinta. Un alt aspect il constituie punerea in valoare a sinergiei dintre energia vantului, a valurilor si cea solara. De asemenea, o platforma de calcul originala va fi implementata. Aceasta combina solveri numerici de inalta rezolutie la nivel de microscala cu modele numerice pentru valuri si curenti la nivel de macroscala. Nu in ultimul rand, studii privind efectele pe termen mediu si lung ale extragerii energiei regenerabile din mediul marin vor fi realizate considerand diverse configuratii de ferme energetice.
